Architectural Photography

This is a photo of downtown Denver. This photo was really bright and light colors. I edited it to make the photo darker. I also adjusted the levels of the red, blue, and green to make the photo more balanced. The photo has a lot of blue to make it better looking.





















This is another photo of downtown. I made the photo brighter and i made the photo more blue. To balance this i also adjusted the red and the green to make the photo more balanced between the colors.



















This is a photo of a building in downtown Denver. I took the photo at this angle to make the building seem taller. I like this photo because the building has reflecting glass and makes the photo look better. The photo had a lot of blue on it so i balanced the red and the green to make the photo better.

Macro photography

This is a photo of a plant. In the photo there is snow at the bottom of the plant but is hard to tell because the camera is focused on the top of the plant. To edit the photo I made the green come out more and the photo a little brighter. 

This is a photo of those red things in a bush full with snow. This photo is cool because the only color is red and it pops out. I made the red come out more so it stands out. I also made the photo darker because the snow makes the photo brighter. 

This is a photo of a flower with water on it. I took this photo at this angle to make sure you can see the water and not have a background. I made the photo darker so there would not be a background and it would just be blacked out. I also made the color on the flower come out more. 

Night

This is a photo of the city at night. This reminds me of night because it is night and all the lights are on and thats what I think of when night comes. To edit i increased the saturation and vibrance of the photo so the blues would come out more and the yellows in the light came out more.

This is a photo of lightning I took. I took this in the middle of the night during a storm. This photo was so bright because of the light that it created a lot of noise. To fix the noise I blurred the photo and did not blur the lightning so it would still stand out but would not have that much noise.

This is a photo of a small town. This is at night and it is also very calm and peaceful because there are no cars and the town is quiet. I added brightness and contrast. This photo also has a lot of noise but leaving it alone left the photo fine.

Sports

This is a photo of football at state semi-finals. This photo was right when they scored a touchdown to tie the game in the fourth quarter. The light in the photo is cool because it is behind the clouds and the lights are glowing on the field.

This was another photo in the fourth quarter. They just got the ball back and they have a chance to win with only a couple of minutes left. 

This is a photo of Gracelyn hitting the ball. She is mid hit and the photo is really cool because her head is focused but her body is in the motion of hitting. 

Birds

This is a photo of birds. I took this while driving so the photo was a little blurry. I cropped the photo and didn't like the look. I rotated it so the birds would be flying down and I like the look of the photo. This photo is unique and very cool. 

This is a photo of a bird flying over a lake. I took this up in Eagles Nest. This was the only bird out at the time and I thought that was kinda cool. This photo is not that great and the quality of the bird is not the best. I cropped the photo a little bit to make the bird more the focus of the photo instead of the lake. 

This is a photo on top of the crest. I took this at the moment the bird started to go down so the whole body would show. I made the photo a little dark and more colorful. The light of the sun shining through the clouds is a good background. 

Light

This is a photo of outside lights hanging above a restraunt patio. I made the photo blurry so it has a better effect on the light. The little bulbs of light blurred make them bigger and stand out more instead of reflecting off of surrounding objects. I made the photo a little brighter so you can see the rest of the photo better and the lights look brighter. 

This photo has many light concepts in it. The lights continuing down the street mall light up the trees and make them look bright and stand out. The street lamps light the walkway. Also the store signs are bright and glowing to attract people. The brighter and more colorful the sign to more people are attracted to it. I did not need to edit this photo that much. At the time it would have been better to stop and focus the camera better. 

This photo is really cool because the lights draping over the street make them look like they are floating. I brightened this photo and made the reds come out more from the cars. The lights continue down the road and almost makes it look like they keep continuing. 

Lonely Tree

This is a photo of a tree. I tried content aware to get another tree out of the background. Instead it just copied the tree to the side and did not go well. Overall it is a good picture with colors enhanced with the sun shining through.

This tree could not fit in the ill frame of the picture. I used content aware to get a tree in the background out. It turned out really good and was hard to find a sky with all the branches in the way. I made this photo a little darker so the white on the tree came out more.

Using content aware on this photo was difficult. There were two trees I needed to get out and a bush. This photo turned out the best for the content aware. I fully eliminated the two trees and had a little trouble with the bush but overall the photo came out good.

Test

I missed one question on this test. I did not know how to read my score but I think i missed one. I did not know the right answer.

I got 14 out of 22. The questions are not that hard. I just missed them.

people hard at work

This girl is hard at work cooking. I did not ask what she is cooking but only to take the picture. She is cooking something and looks like she was enjoying it. I took this picture right after she was smiling and did not feel how much of an edit I needed to put on the picture. 

Theses two girls were making a salad.  I took this photo in culinary because making food is and art and should be captured. I almost left the photo the same except for changing the amount of light to make the picture more clear. 

This guy was makin bacon and is very concentrated on what he is doing. I took this picture because he is working hard on making this food good to get a good grade. Again I edited the amount of light to make the picture look better.

                             Red

This Lamborghini Aventador SD. I took this picture at a car meet place. I did not edit this picture that much but just add color so the red in the car comes out more. This is a beautiful car and this picture can not get all of the features the car offers. 

                           Lemon

I titled this lemon because that's the color of the car. This is a corvette Z06. this car is a beautiful car so I enhanced the colors in the picture so the car stands out more. I did not edit it any more because other edits did not make the full car look as good. 

                            Silver

This is Porsche 918 spyder. I edited it to make the photo more bright and more colors. The photo of this car could've been better when I was taking it. Maybe could have took it at a different angle of the car at the time and the photo might have been better. 

Personification

                       The mirror

This is a photo of a mirror wearing a hat. This photo shows personification because the mirror looks like a face. This mirror symbolized that no matter what you look like you're original. This shows its not about what people see when they look at you it's about how they think of you and that shows who they are when they look at themselves in the mirror. I edited the photo to look darker so it reflects around the mirror. I feel I didn't need to edit it anymore because to me the photo looked good. 

                         The chair

This is a chair wearing a jacket and sticker notes to resemble a face. The chair is not alive but looks like it because of the jacket and face. Playing with the angle of light shows that the chair resembles somewhat of checks for the face when the light makes a shadow on them. 

                    The computer

This photo overall is not the best quality. It looks personified because the computer is the person wearing the hat. To better this picture I should've gotten a better camera or focused it better. The objective was to get the whole screen black to it somewhat blocks out a face for the computer. The hat is out of focus and is blurry. To fix that I should've took longer and spent more time taking this picture.  

Performing Arts

                      Bad Lighting

This is a photo of George performing a play. This room has really bad lighting and editing the photo did not fix it. I left the photo alone and it looked better. 

                          Action

This is another photo of George. I made the photo brighter and it looked a little better but the quality is not the best. I only edited it to make the photo brighter but it needs a better camera to adjust to the lighting. 

                         Sing 

This is Shiloh. He is singing in the Performing Arts building entertaining the people around him. He has a good voice and the photo does not have the best quality. I edited it to make it darker and the colors brighter. 

Hats

                             Nike

This is a photo of my Nike hat. I put it in black and white because the hat was already black and white and it made it look better. I also made it brighter so the hat stands out more. 

                    Bad Hair Day 

I put this photo in black and white because the colors around the hat distract the hat from standing out more. I took this on a door thing because it's a beanie and doesn't show much when it's flat.

                          Vans

I took this photo at this angle because it looks better and you can't tell the hat is facing down. This hat has a color in the middle so I increased the color. I also made the photo darker around the hat so it stands out more than just the flash.

Food

Apple 

This is a photo of an apple. I took this because the green was bright and looked cool. I edited it to make it more green on the apple and black and white around it to make it stand out. It is red on the bottom because the notebook underneath is red and reflects on the apple. 

                            Pop-tart 

This is a photo of a pap-tart. I took this photo outside because it makes the photo better. I edited it to make it more blue and less light. 

                          Orange 

This is a photo of an orange.  I took this because the orange stands out on a white paper. I edited it to make the color more bright and the shadow stand out more. 

technology

                           Open

This is technology because it is a button to open a door. This button is automatic and makes something move and is outside of the classroom so this is technology. I edited it to make it be in the rule of thirds and not in the middle of the picture. I also made It darker so the bricks come out in the background a little better. 

                         Red

This is also technology because it's triggers an alarm to go off from somebody pulling the alarm. I took a picture of this because it's technology that nobody really thinks is technology. This is equipment that is developed from the application of scientific knowledge therefore is technology. I edited this picture to make it more bright and red. 

                            Apple

This is a photo of a mac apple sign. I took this because the sign is so widely known and is cool. I edited it so that there was less light so it did not reflect anything and took the color out so its just black and white.

shoes

             Black With White

These are shoes that are really white and clean. I did not feel like I needed to edit this photo to make it any better because the white shoes with the black pants already show contrast. The ground is somewhat colorful and the white shoes look good. 

           Black With White Part 2

These are white shoes with black pants again. These show contrast but these shoes are not as clean as the other ones. Again I did not feel a need to edit this photo because the dirty shoes next to the dead grass with dead leaves show some detail in the photo. 

                 White Girl 

These are boots that again I did not edit. I didn't edit it because the shadow from the boots is enough detail to the photo.

The Ring

This is a photo of Elisa wearing a ring. I took this photo to make the ring shine through the flash. I edited it to make it brighter around the ring and darker around. To do this i adjusted the brightness and darkness. 

The Heart

I took this photo of Elisa wearing a necklace. This necklace pops out from the photo and is cool because it has two hearts. I edited this photo to make the red and green come out more and the blues less. I also made it darker around the necklace and brighter closer to it. I did this to make it the focus point of the photo. I also cropped it to make it not in the center of the photo.

Tree Heart

I took this photo because the tree was "wearing" the necklace and it hanging from the tree looked cool. I edited it to have more contrast so the necklace stands out more in front of the wall. To do this i adjusted the light and darkness but keeping the heart on the necklace the same while just editing the background.
